Myrth - 'Ad Materium
'Ad Materium
Description
A planetoid of solid rock and stone, with a thin layer of soil and vegetation. Oceans surround the globe, and the planet is covered in a thin layer of atmosphere. The planet is home to a variety of life forms, including plants, animals, and all manner of humanoids.
Academically known as ‘Ad Materium, the material realm is the physical plane of existence upon which the realities of Myrth are based. It is the realm of matter, of substance, of form. It is the realm of the physical, of the tangible, of the real. It is the linchpin of the Overlap, the nexus of the cosmological model and the starting point of all world views.
At the core of the material realm is the Plane of Earth, which is the physical manifestation of the planet Myrth. The Plane of Earth is a sphere of solid rock and stone, with a thin layer of soil and vegetation. It is the foundation of the material realm, and the source of all physical matter.
The Centre of the Universe
Section titled “The Centre of the Universe”Scholars have always been fascinated by the world of Myrth and the ontological implications of their world views about it. How is it that Myrth became the primary plane of existence? How dit it come to be studied and described in such a manner?
It seemed prudent to note that Myrth lies at the centre of the cosmos due to more than just observational biases. Studies have shown that it is the anchor point of the Overlap. It creates the balance required for the magical essences to converge and coalesce.
It is the realm that birthed the gods and dragons that now stand at the pinnacle of the divine hierarchies. And for that reason, it is the centre of the universe.
