Other Names
Elvish: “One of the Winds”
Vanio: “The Sky Mother”
Dver: “Mother of the Sky”
Armara embodies as a figure of ethereal grace and boundless compassion. She is rarely seen in her full divine form, but when she does appear, she takes the shape of a magnificent bird of prey—a hawk or eagle—watching silently from a high perch. It is said that her true form was once that of a radiant angel clad in white, like the clouds that caress the skies. Her wings are formed from pure air itself, as if the very clouds have condensed to bring her into motion. Though never seen wielding weapons, she is often associated with an elegant longbow decorated with feathers, for her clergy favor the longbow as they travel the world bringing aid to those in need.
Her presence brings with it the promise of renewal and the gentle certainty of healing without judgment.
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”The followers of Armara are often looked upon with reverence, as healers and restorers of hope. Though the clergy may be beloved in general, the Sky Mother is regarded by all as a powerful entity and vessel for the restoration of what has been lost.
Wherever healing is needed, Armara is called upon to acknowledge the sufferer’s pain and offer the promise of renewal. Whether to grant some form of restoration or to provide comfort in times of great need, Armara receives countless prayers from those seeking aid.
Her followers are those who have dedicated their lives to healing others and who watch over the sanctity of the world. They seek out those who have seen the worst of suffering and emerged with compassion, and who have learned that restoration and renewal are more powerful than the fickle nature of destruction. They include divine healers who possess great skill in both medicine and magical restoration, druids who tend to the wounds of both nature and civilization, and those who have endured great trials and emerged stronger for having helped others through their own suffering.
