Assador manifests as a figure of imposing darkness. He is rarely seen in his full form, but when he does he is appears as a fallen angel with tattered wings that drip with the blood of broken oaths. It is said that his true form was once that of handsome knight, now forever lost to the darkness.
Instead of manifesting in person, he prefers to make his will known to his followers by means of possession, or through his Incubi servants.
His presence brings with it the weight of unfulfilled promises and the cold certainty of justice without mercy.
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”The followers of Assador are often looked on in disdain, as doomsayers and martyrs. But even though the clergy may be disliked in general, the Dark Lord is often still regarded as a powerful entity and vessel for the suffering.
Wherever loss is experienced, Assador is called on to acknowledge the sufferer’s sacrifice. Whether to exert some form of accreditation or acknowledgement in return for future luck or avoidance of suffering, Assador receives many prayers from those in mourning.
His followers are those who have been betrayed by the world, who have seen their ideals crumble, and who have learned that law and order are more reliable than the fickle nature of morality. They include fallen paladins who have broken their oaths, black knights who serve justice through pain, and those who have endured great suffering and emerged stronger for it.
