Firna manifests as a figure of whispered death and eternal shadows, the very essence of murder made divine. She is never seen, never heard, but when she is present hearts are cast in fear and death soon follows. Her eye is the only sign left behind, carved onto the flesh of her victims.
Her presence brings with it the weight of impending doom and the cold certainty that death comes for all who cross her path.
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”Few cultures value the art of killing. But those that do, often revere Firna as their patron. In most part of the world, her worship is feared and often taboo, though shrines to her are uncommon but not rare. The common people know her, and pay a tribute to her in fear, for when she is near, death is sure. Often times they form their hands into a claw, the sign of the third eye, as a means to ward of her presence.
The followers of Firna are often looked upon with revulsion, as bringers of death and practitioners of the dark arts. Though the clergy may be despised in general, the Weeping Eye is often still regarded as a powerful entity and vessel for the execution of divine justice through death.
Wherever shadows gather and death is planned, Firna is called upon to guide the blade and ensure the silence of the grave. Whether to grant some form of divine stealth or to provide protection from those who would expose hidden dealings, Firna receives many prayers from those who operate in the darkness.
The followers of Firna are those who have embraced the darkness within themselves, who have seen the corruption of the world and chosen to become its instrument rather than fight it, and who have learned that death and fear are more powerful than the fickle nature of mercy. They include assassins who serve justice through the blade, murderers who have found purpose in the taking of life, and those who have endured great betrayal and emerged stronger for having learned to trust no one and fear nothing.
Often times those who associate with her, will also associate with her twin sister, Callad, the goddess of thieves, treachery, and shadows.
