Common title
The Dogs of War are the harbingers of their Master’s coming, nine monstrous beasts that herald the end of all things. Before the final approach of the god of war, these terrible hounds sweep across the battlefield like a tide of blood and carnage, each a nightmare given form with three heads—wolf, hound, and dragon—all howling in perfect harmony with the screams of the dying. To witness the Hounds is to know that your life is already forfeit, and that the void has come to claim you.
The form of Garkash is that of a towering, bestial Malkovian, a colossus of war clad in armor forged from the bones of fallen kings and crowned with spikes that drip with the blood of a thousand battles. Six muscled arms extend from his sides, each wielding weapons of destruction—two double axes that burn with the fires of hell itself, and two shields that bear the faces of his vanquished enemies. The Master of War rides upon the back of Grimdaris, a great black dragon whose scales drink in the light and whose breath carries the stench of death. His axes, known to his followers as “Dominion,” gleam with an otherworldly fire that seems to hunger for the souls of the living.
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”The general followers of Garkash are often looked upon with terror and awe, as the bringers of destruction and the instruments of eternal war. Though the clergy may be feared in general, the Blood God is regarded by all who seek power through conquest as the ultimate expression of strength and the source of their might.
His knights are feared and respected, as they are the closest thing to Garkash himself. They are the ones who carry his banner, and the ones who fight in his name. They are the ones who wear the armor of the Void, and the ones who wield the weapons of the Void. They are the ones who are bound to Garkash, and the ones who are bound to the Void.
Wherever armies gather and blood is spilled, Garkash is called upon to bless the battle and ensure victory through overwhelming force. Whether to grant some form of divine fury or to provide protection through the power of destruction, Garkash receives countless prayers from those seeking to conquer and dominate.
The followers of Garkash are those who have embraced the chaos of war, who have seen the weakness of peace and chosen to become its destroyer, and who have learned that power and conquest are more reliable than the fickle nature of mercy. They include warlords who lead armies to glory, barbarians who revel in the chaos of battle, and those who have endured great oppression and emerged stronger for having learned to take what they desire through force.
Kashite Beliefs
Section titled “Kashite Beliefs”Since the dawn of time, The Malkovians were a people of War. Bound inside the Overlap, stories of their prowess and glory was told across the realms. It was this people that Garkash chose to elevate, to break free of the bounds of their limited realm and into the material plane. Those he brought, he blessed. In an event known as the Black seeding he ripped the first of his warriors from Gaia, and filled their hearts with blood-lust and rage. He cast them onto Myrth and named them Kashite, as they were now his to unleash.
To this day Kashites across the realms are known as a brutal and savage people, and are often feared and revered in equal measure. Only by the silence of their progenitor were they able to cast aside the prejudices of their race. They are forever bound to Garkash, regardless of their circumstances or beliefs.
