Ura
Ura
God of Fire and Destructive Force

Other Names
Common title
Ura often takes on the form of a Fire Giant, though this towering guise is but a mask for his true nature. It is said that his body is perpetually engulfed in flame, so much so that it is impossible to discern any of his features beneath the dancing inferno. The living flame form is small in stature, almost ape-like, and tendrils of white fire flow from him as appendages, weaving through the air like serpents of pure heat. Some claim to have seen him in the deepest places of the earth, where he bathes in the lava pools of the deep underground, his form merging with the molten rock in an eternal dance of fire and stone.
Ura embodies the raw essence of fire, the untamed force that both destroys and creates. He is the cohort of Lilith and the father of Manos Claye, a being whose very existence is bound to the eternal flame.
His presence brings with it the weight of the inferno and the cold certainty that fire cannot be tamed by any save the Deep One himself.
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”Ura is called upon by those who understand that fire is both a tool of creation and destruction, that it can bring warmth and light but also consume all in its path like a ravenous beast. His followers are elementalists who command the flames with whispered incantations, fire mages who channel his power through their very souls, smiths who work with the forge in sacred communion, and generals who understand the destructive force of fire in warfare.
Wherever fire rages and people are in danger, calls will be made to Ura to slow his flames. He is a god of destruction, but does not set out to claim the souls of the living like other gods. Also, amongst his followers are those who call on the flame to punish their oppressors and rivals, but usually not to claim life, rather to destroy surroundings and create setbacks.
The followers of Ura are those who have embraced the power of fire, who have seen its destructive potential and chosen to become its master rather than its victim, and who have learned that fire is a force that cannot be tamed but can be directed. They include elementalists who can command the flames, smiths who work with the forge, and those who have endured the fury of fire and emerged stronger for having learned to respect its power.
