Common title
Erigrim (Elders, Eternal Ones) manifest as figures of ancient wisdom and unyielding strength, the very essence of the Dver people made divine. They are paragon, the embodiment of Dver culture and honor. They have changed little in appearance since their ascension. Each are identified by their personal rune that they wear on their clothing and by the saintly halo on their heads.
For the first eight, their presence brings with it the strength of the mountains and the wisdom of ages uncounted. Durathor, the ninth, is the embodiment of destruction and punishment, the bringer of death and suffering. He is the outcast son of the Dver people, born from the betrayal of his father and the greed of his keepers
Common Worship
Section titled “Common Worship”The followers of The Eregrim are looked upon with deep respect, as the keepers of ancient traditions and the guardians of Dver heritage. Though the clergy may be seen as traditional by some, the Ancestral Host is regarded by all Dver as the very foundation of their culture and the source of their strength.
To the Dver, their belief is tangible. Their stories tell of their ascension as a matter of public record. To them it is not mere faith, it is a part of what makes them Dver.
Wherever they gather, The Eregrim are called upon to bless the work of their descendants and guide them in the ways of their forefathers. Whether to grant some form of divine inspiration or to provide protection through wisdom, The Eregrim receive countless prayers from those seeking the blessings of their ancients.
The followers of The Eregrim are those who have dedicated their lives to the preservation of Dver culture, who have seen the changing world and chosen to maintain the traditions that have sustained their people for generations, and who have learned that the wisdom of the ancestors is more powerful than the fickle nature of progress. They include clan leaders who guide their people with ancient wisdom, master craftsmen who create works of lasting beauty, and those who have endured great trials and emerged stronger for having learned to trust in the strength of their heritage.
